🚨BUBR RIDE ROUTE UPDATE🚨
Finally, we are able to share our confirmed ride route for Saturday 7th August with you. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the increased volume of participants compared to last year, we have had to make some significant amendments to make the ride safe and viable.
The route will still start in Walthamstow, however now from Low Hall Sports Ground E17 8AX which is only a five-minute cycle from the original start at Walthamstow Town Square Gardens.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be able to host a pitstop or conclude the ride in south London as initially planned. We requested permission to have pitstops and a finale in Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth, but unfortunately the requests were denied by all three councils based on COVID-19 restrictions and a backlog of planned events they had scheduled in the green spaces we wanted to use.
The length of the ride is 15 miles in total, includes two pitstops (at mile 6 and mile 9) and concludes in Shoreditch Park in Hackney. There is no chance of getting lost as the entire route will be signposted, led by experienced ride marshals and we will be using the same live tracking app that we did last year.
